What is a Hybrid Event, and what makes it hybrid rather than just a streamed event?

A hybrid event is an event that not only is streamed to the internet, but also has an audience in the room. As well as presenters at the physical event, Some can be bought in by online means to take part as a Presenter or Panellist...or even the evenings entertainment.

Although the terminology is quite new, the technical ability to do this has been around for some years, although it has been made somewhat easier by todays internet speeds and technology. Back in the 90's we would have had to pay for expensive satellite links to join a number of hubs/conference venues or presenters. Now with Vmix call, Quicklinks, Zoom, Team and many others , most of us have the technology at our fingertips.

As with virtual events, Contrast Events doesn't have to be onsite, as with modern technology we can take both Audio, Camera and Graphics feeds from your Venue over the internet and "Cut" your show from our offices in Hatley St George. Saving transport costs, Hotels, Flights etc etc.

All we would need is your on site supplier to install some encoders for us, or we could send a member out to oversee this and look after them for the duration of the event.

Alternatively, we can also travel and be on site to produce your events streams, hybrid elements and final recordings. As shown in the image below left.
